Broccoli Salad with Pomegranate Popping Boba
The Salad That Pops
This isn’t your ordinary broccoli salad. With crunchy greens, rich cheese and crispy bacon as the base, it’s the vibrant pomegranate popping boba that steals the show — adding juicy bursts of flavour and a stunning visual finish.
Ingredients
- 1 Fresh broccoli head.
- 1 Cup of yellow cheese such as Gouda or Cheddar, cut into small cubes.
- 250g Bacon bits, fried until crispy.
- 125ml Mayonnaise (your favourite)
- 180ml Pomegranate popping boba (reserve some for garnish)

Method
- Chop or grate the broccoli, depending on your preference. For a milder flavour and finer texture, grate it — it blends beautifully into the salad. Chopped broccoli has a stronger, more distinct taste. (Wink: Children prefer the grated version).
- Now add the cheese. Gouda or Cheddar works really well with this salad. Add the cubes to the broccoli.
- Add the crispy bacon bits to the broccoli mixture, making sure the bacon has cooled completely before mixing it in.
- Add the pomegranate popping boba last — this is what makes the salad truly special. Those juicy bursts of flavour lift the richness of the bacon and cheese and give the broccoli a fresh, vibrant twist.
- Drizzle your favourite mayonnaise over the broccoli mixture, coating everything lightly.
- Gently fold the ingredients together.
- Finish with a sprinkle of popping boba on top for a stunning burst of colour and flavour — this is what gives the salad its signature WOW factor.
